The
Forest Park Women’s Club is an organization that is truly about
spirit. A spirit that honors it’s past and works towards the
future. We are a club that is dedicated to the betterment of our communities.
We are able to achieve this through determination and commitment to
our goals. Our fifty years as a club supports that belief. I loved
what John McCain said in his acceptance speech as the GOP candidate:
“Real happiness comes from committing to something that is bigger
than you.” I know each FPWC member will agree with this 100%.
I am proud to be a member of such a great organization with wonderful
sisters in friendship as well.
In 2008, the FPWC was given the Booth Spirit Award presented for the
Community Organization category by the Volunteers of America. This
award, as well as other FPWC awards and yearbooks, are on display
at the Forest Park Senior and Activity Center. |
